The Short Cinema began as a showcase for Midlands filmmakers, championing often underrepresented creators and stories from its home region. That remit is still at the core of the festival, and our final evening screening and awards ceremony remains the beating heart of our programme.

Join us for a celebration of all the Midlands has to offer, with 9 films (including the winner of the 20-second film challenge) of breathtaking variety and creativity, including our annual Awards Ceremony, this year hosted by Leicester-based actor Camille Burnett.
